After posting about converted spaces -I came across the apartment of Cynthia Lufkin in NY in the old New York Cancer Hospital. Her living and dining room and also her den are in the old chapel - AMAZING space! Check out more of the apartment at New York Social Diary. Creative living at its finest.

I'm with you - I'd love to live in a converted old church building (and not for religious reasons) - the architecture usually includes extra high ceilings and lots of huge, interesting windows.

yes, lana, I think the spaces are just more interesting and make for more interesting quirky houses!
my jaw fell open over this one - wasn't it gorgeous?
Now that is what I call living "religion" everyday!
My father has always said, "going to church does not make you a saint." But living it does. Now that is what I call "living it!" Wonderful, bless you for posting this!
yes, the interview wasn't very interesting this time, but the space was Amazing! Beautiful apartment -a shame she is selling it ( for 17.5 MILL!!!)
PVE, the interesting thing is that this whole apartment is in a former cancer hospital (this being the chapel that i showed) and the woman who lives here battled cancer WHILE pregnant and now raises millions of dollars for charity for cancer research!! This is really sort of an inclusive life!
Being a minister of the gospel and avid student and lover of design, along with the desire to live in a reformed church site (old) - I loved this view, as well as the story! Thanks so much for sharing. Also liking web design, since I've spent the past two month creating my own apart from knowing 'how to'. Be blessed!
wow, that chapel space is SPEC_tacular!
