Confusing weather
While I chug away at deadlines I thought I would share with you a scene from the Georgetown canal where Forsythia seems to be confused by our unseasonably warm weather. Hopeful signs of spring!

Haha! I had to tell people in PA that I might not make it because it may snow 4-6 inches here in Virginia. They won't be getting any snow and in the land of no snowplows we could have trouble. That is confusing.
Last season's geraniums are still flowering on the terrace eleven floors up and the plumbago which is usually dead by now is putting out new shoots. Forsythia is one of the most cheery sights to have in winter – promises beautiful things to come.
FOrsythia in January? Madness. Our little azalea bush in the front had a flower in December. Makes you wonder.
I love it! Forsythia are a favorite of mine but not very hardy here.
Very surprised to see them so soon, even where you are!!! :)

P.S. Your black doors look soooooo good.
Way too early. Unseasonable weather here too. Everything is blooming NOW. What will there be left for spring?
I have bulbs coming up too! It is so freezing today. Stay warm! Good luck with your projects.
