The weekend!

The cold and damp fall weather is here, winter is coming soon! I wish we still all wore furs and hats like in this image from 1954 by Henry Clarke, talk about traveling in style (although I hate that monogrammed luggage but approve of the hard square shapes)! Perfumed elegance.....Enjoy your weekend!

Architect, I believe you must be stalking me since that is EXACTLY how I am dressed this weekend....

What are you talking about ???

That is how I dress for the design center as well as picking up a carton of milk,( luggage and all ).

The fur does get a little warm in Florida, but who cares, as long as I look fabulous.

( i always smile when i visit you )

Renee, I'm flattered and glad that my blog brings a smile to your face :-) Really -thats the point! Ya, furs probably aren't very appropriate for florida, but I'm sure there are women who have tried (I hope you're not one of them!)

I agree I also dislike LV, but I do love fur (animal lovers don't hate me) my mother has a gorgeous mink coat that I wore 4 years ago to the inaugural ball, people were outside protesting fur and I was scared they were going to spray paint me, I think that was my last time wearing that coat.

While in Kentucky - visiting my Mom, we attended a wedding a Whitehall and a guest was wearing a butter yellow mink top which looked stunning and luxurious.
My sweet Dad even asked to "feel" it which was so cute. That is what furs do to me, just want to touch them!

PVE, I would have asked the same thing!!

I love that image. It's so beautiful. And I hate to disagree with you, but I adore that luggage. I always have. Big sigh. Really, I just did. Ha!

This image reminds me of pictures taken of Seraph's beautiful mother in the 1950's. So elegant!!! We still treasure her mink stole, glove collection and hats (complete with boxes.)

A truly lovely post!
