Draper Doors

Just a fun picture of a fantastic doorway I spotted on an apartment building in Beverly Hills while in LA recently. Very Dorothy Draper, no? I especially love the hardware. Have a fantastic weekend!

Love the "classic" door with the modern minimalist slightly Art Deco backdrop and simple number! great post, great blog.

Wow! I often design doors with a fixed transom panel to give more visual height but locate the split at the logical place. This example goes all out for full effect, however, even stretching past the second story floor line. And the charcoal gray with white is classic "Hollywood Regency", is it not? Too bad there was not room for wall lights or planters, though. Thanks for the peek!

Wouldn't it be nice if the average home , in the average neighborhood had an interesting detail or two like this?

Love them. I love how Miles R does them in fun colors like kelly green! No doubt he was influenced by Ms. Draper!

I like the font of the address number. It reminds me of Jeeves and Wooster, or an Agatha Christie movie.
