Filoli Floorplan

I just realized a floor plan of Filoli would make all of the pictures easier to locate. Many thanks to ChipSF for sending it to me! Click on the image to enlarge.
Next week I'll bring you the gardens!

It is always good to see a plan!

Love those floorplans. The most neglected things in design mags, blogs, and real estate ads.

Yes, I have to agree with you both -i just wish I had included it earlier (like I did with the petit trianon posts).
I think a lot of people surprisingly can't read plans -but for those of us who can they're invaluable!

Why, it's just like the floorplan of my house, only smaller!

Not.

But isn't this plan, grand though it is, nicely thought out for private vs. public spaces, and things used often vs. not, etc.

you're so right, DED! I love well thought out rational plans like this -they always look so simple, too! I hate overly fussy or complicated layouts.

The room called the Drawing Room on the plan is also known as the Reception Room and the room called the French Room on the plan is also know as the Drawing Room, just to try to make it less (or more) confusing.
