-Sketchpad (courtesy of Little Augury) and drawing pens.
-Ipod, flashdrive and camera (obviously not pictured) with associated cords
-Wallet and keys. Yes -my keychain is a measuring tape, I am an architect after all!
-Library card, work access card, extra business and blogging cards and a random coupon.
-2 burts bees chapsticks (I'm addicted to these but still not sure why I have 2), powder paper (to 'clean' my face if i'm going somewhere after work), gum, random old allergy medication tablets, a mint and some hand lotion stolen from a hotel (don't make fun -I get VERY dry skin in the winter - ouch!).
-Ordinarily I carry lunch and a snack to work and papers and drawing sets home as needed. Neither of these were in my bag at the time so they're not pictured!
The bag is a hard canvas messenger bag with leather trim by Jack Georges which I love and always get compliments on! Simple, practical but still attractive; I've been using it for about 3 years now. Thanks Catherine for thinking of me! On with our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.

Wow. Not so different from a girls handbag afterall:-)
Love to have your blogging card! Your man bag is exactly as I would envision - so very you!

Pretty close to what I would guess except for blogging card.
Thanks for the little peek inside.
Not sure what a blogging card is, but had lots of fun peeking in. And of course, I am mortified as to how organized your contents are laid out as compared to my pile of junk. That's what I loved about this tag... it gives us insight into who we think we already know. Thank you for being a sport and playing along. Virtual hugs!
Catherine
Very practical and necessary all, the blotting papaers are so smart. Please return that sketch pad when full of pretty little things you've drawn! The bag is very chic.
Oh this was so fun....I loved that were willing to share with all the gals! Let's exchange cards! HA!!!
With a partially torn rotator cuff, I have stopped, under doctor's orders carrying a bag at all. It helps being retired, I know. Your bag was so very organized. I would have have expected it any other way.
p.s. off topic. So yesterday, you drop the family connection to Barry Tea and just leave it there without more story. Another cup of this, please.
I am a bit of an organization freak -i freely admit that. I mean - without thinking I took everything out of the bag and laid it out just as you see here. haha
HBD - yes - my grandmother's family (the Barrys) have a long history in Ireland. Her father, one of the youngest Barry sons, came to america to escape persecution for having served in the British Navy (the irish were so anti british that he would have been killed on site after having been discharged). His older brother started the tea company! Not a terribly fascinating tale but a story of the times.
I have blogging cards that I got inexpensively off of etsy that have my email and blog address because so often I found people would ask what my blog was when I mentioned I had one. They also act somewhat as personal 'calling cards'. They're on ivory cards with gold embossed fleur de lys for some decoration.
Why didn't I think of that?! I'm definitly getting some ASAP. I'll do a bee though.
Here's where you REALLY have the advantage over we girls...
In a purse, things jostle and slosh around becoming a tangled mess!
Oh for an adorable brief-purse!
PS: Thanks for playing, The man in my life would shudder at the thought, if it required seeing what the gals had in their purses. :)
Years back, the New York Times Sunday edition used to have something like this on the inside page of the finance section. Every week a different executive's briefcase would be featured and the contents listed and displayed.
Great Man-Bag!! Looks really good and I am sure you can place everything in you need it to contain!!

I saw an artist featured somewhere once who did watercolors of the subject's purse content's. I always thought that was such a clever idea...XXOO
I think this is most creditable for a spot check on your bag. I had a deeply embarrassing moment as a young woman when I turned up at Winchester Assizes court to take down the official proceedings in shorthand.
It was an IRA bomb trial and I had not encountered a bag search before. A policeman peered into mine and found a half-eaten bag of fudge and a spilt bottle of ink. Ouch.
Seems like a very sensible set of things! I don't understand how most men survive with everything crammed in one pocket. One NEEDS all this!
I am addicted to exact same Burt's Bees too.
Thanks for the peek - I love this voyeuristic stuff, even if it is just looking at your chapstick haha.
:)
LOL, glad to share your personal stuffs. Burt's Bees LOL..... Why don't have ipod?
