You may have noticed on her
blog that Dominique Browning is leading a trip through India as part of her
Slow Love Life tour. Talk about the trip of a lifetime! read the itinerary
here.
Who hasn't been fascinated by this exotic country and I for one can think of no better place to travel to with the fascinating Browning; I only wish I could go!
India is a study in contrasts, according to a good friend of mine who has lived there for the past 2 years and who provided me with these photos. Incredible wealth and incredible poverty coexist in a land rich with tradition and beauty but rife with problems facing many developing nations. Her monthly emails of her encounters and trials keep me fascinated with this exotic country.
I hope someone will go on this tour and report back to me their many experiences!
Thank you for the beautiful photos to brighten a cold day. I have not been to india in so many years and long for its colors, scents, sounds, architecture nand especially people.
ReplyDeleteI've never been, Francine, but long to go. So jealous that you have been! This frigid weather right off the bat scares me as to whats to come later this season!
ReplyDeleteI long to go too--next DCblogger outing it is :)
ReplyDeleteThis really does look like an amazing trip. A good friend just returned after a year in India, and her stories only made me long to go more. Some day!
I would love to go. I was just in NYC for a weddding and only gone
ReplyDelete3 days, I am so sick. At my age a trip like that would do me in.
Do it when you are young,
yvonne
I'm ambivalent about tours, generally, even though I do love Dominique Browning. I had a wonderful time in India last year and really do wish to go back again, and again, and again. Fortunately, I have a few friends there, and even got a care package yesterday of chai spices and tea.
ReplyDeletei would be more than willing.
ReplyDeletei have become a bit fascinated with country,
and am really wanting to go.
xx merry xmas
ME! Send ME! You should go on the trip too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing sounding trip. It is SO high on my list of places to go.
Yes - I know about this trip - I would have LOVED to be able to go - it looks fabulous!! And you know Dominique would be the absolutely best of guides - she's smart, well informed and actually quite funny!!
ReplyDeleteAttracted though I am by the color and the mystery, I've never made it myself. All friends who have ever gone, without exception, keep returning.
ReplyDelete(Of course, in my youth I'd look at National Geographic articles about India and think that being a maharaja, with big jewels and big palaces looked like great fun. I'm older now)
what a dream come true! hard to believe that the Style Saloniste goes to India alone. I would die fo fright!
