LOOK AT THE VIEW.........omg - that terrace!!!
Oh -and did I mention the living room is 53' x 19' ? Thats bigger than the footprint of a lot of townhouses.......The kitchen makes me very very happy indeed -all that beautiful dark wood and that chandelier! The chandelier takes it from boring and minimalist to a jewel box of a kitchen. I also like that the kitchen is seperated from the living room -it would be too cavernous of a space otherwise. I enjoy a seperate kitchen space.......
..ahem, all the more reason, I need you to design my kitchen. I enjoy cooking and a separate kitchen from my living space. call me old fashioned.
ReplyDeleteI'm old fashioned too, pve. I think there are ways to make a kitchen open to an entertaining space without it being a PART of it -or in the actual room! I think if you look at the plan at this apt it's achieved very well with the full wall of cabinets sort of 'floating' and hiding the kitchen from the living room but no doors and just big openings into the living space. Of course if you make a lot of fish or other smelly foods that could be a problem; maybe pocket doors?
ReplyDeleteWasn't this featured in Town & Country in 2006? Decorated by Jeffrey Bilhuber?
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've heard -i think Jeffrey did their previous residence and they just took all their belongings and moved them into this condo. They only lived here for a littler under a year.
ReplyDeleteWrong. She sold that one in 2007, it was in SoHo. But she kept the same furniture. So she only stayed in this pad one year? See the old place here: http://realestalker.blogspot.com/2007/02/mariska-hargitay-double-whammy-new-york.html
ReplyDeleteYes, anonymous, she's moving to be closer to her child's preschool I read. So she hasn't lived here long -you can recognize some of the furniture from her old apartment. Regardless, I'm not talking about her or her life, but rather how fabulous this space is :-)
