ReplyDeleteNot an hour ago, I chanced to wonder if this year's Kip's Bay had been announced, and voila, here you are with the answer.
ReplyDeleteThis is exciting news---it promises to make Kip's Bay particularly interesting. I assume it is to be in the right-hand (northerly) wing once occupied by the Fahnestocks, and later the Bennet Cerf version of Random House, and more recently by the much lamented Urban League bookstore (where I used to spend many a happy hour browsing in the lovely high rooms renovated by Charles Platt for the Fahnestocks). There are some experiences that scary Amazon will never be able to replicate. Thanks for the scoop.
Very exciting! Haven't seen a Kip's Bay in a Building like the Villard House! It will be interesting with this particular group of designers. I think they are spectacular! A few are missing though . . . .
ReplyDeleteI want to take the train up this year and see it!
