Bar lighting

While in Greenwich, CT last year, I took this picture of a light fixture in the restaurant L'escale at the marina. I love the witty use of an upturned glass for a pendant over the bar. The food and views of the water were superb too!

  4. A friend just opened a new restaurant in Taipei that uses this idea, Woolloomooloo Restaurant and Cafe. The light fixtures are the same as the water glasses, mounted just as in your photo. They give a fun and informal effect. The food is great, too.

  6. As handsome a fixture as I've ever seen! Besides being witty, it has a very tailored and sophisticated look.

  8. I wonder what the same designer could do with chamber pots? Brilliant, though!

  10. Wait, I know I've been there! I never noticed that but I guess I must have been in a different room? Or just out to lunch that day, literally and figuratively! How cute!
