A coworker received these flowers yesterday to celebrate the first day of fall. I really loved the mix of leaves, winter cabbage, cockscomb, violet roses and all sorts of unusual things. Enjoy the season, I know I will!
that is some great florist. it is rare to find a florist who doesn't do the cookie cutter commercial arrangements. it is always amazing to me when i get an arrangement with gorgeous flowers, and they are so structured that i have to pull them all out and place them in a vase (minus the stupid fillers that they use). it looks so much more English, or 'manor house' if you follow my meaning. and, i know YOU do. xxx
Lucky coworker! It was wonderful meeting you last Friday at Michele's party. I am in talks with some other bloggers who were there to set up another get together, so I'll keep you posted!

fall is my favorite for all the colors, I recently spotted an arrangement in a log, with acorns, leaves and flowers...really wonderful.

My absolute favorite! for many reasons-GT
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, indeed. Hope that you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bit of beauty. I think the real award goes to the person who thought of doing this. Happy autumn.
ReplyDeleteIs the cockscomb the one that looks funny, round, and yellow? Like a pom a pom?
ReplyDeleteSam, cockscomb is the red squiggly, furry looking one in the center. Sort of looks like the wobbly thing on top of a chicken!
ReplyDeleteHBD, I know -i was so jealous!
Renee, yes -they are very manor house -probably more fitting there than a messy architect's desk!
Pve, that sounds really beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous! I love seeing a fall palette that isn't the usual orange, yellow, and brown! Thanks for posting this great pictures.
