I have always known what I wanted, and that was beauty... in every form. Joan Crawford
I never go outside unless I look like Joan Crawford the movie star. If you want to see the girl next door, go next door. Joan Crawford
Isn't that second photo the most pretty you've ever seen Joan Crawford? Have a great weekend, everyone!
One more just for fun...
Women's Lib? Poor little things. They always look so unhappy. Have you noticed how bitter their faces are?
Haha - really, Joan??? I mean - REALLY?? Who was more liberated than you!
That second photo IS the prettiest I've ever seen of Joan.

Gorgeous. I LOVE how she spoke her mind. A-M xx
ReplyDeleteI love those quotes and the photos! So perfect since I'm feeling very Mommie Dearest right about now. It's one of those weekends.
ReplyDeleteHaving just seen her in Humoresque, where she was remarkably stylish and beautiful even whilst wearing spectacles, it seems to me that in was all about those great large eyes (in proportion to the great large shoulder pads?) Not a single one of her scenes ever moved me or convinced me, it was all technique and artifice, but still, impressive.
ReplyDeleteJoan was really a part of Glamorous Hollywood wasn't she! Somehow when I think of Joan Crawford, the actress, what comes in my head is "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane".......she was so mean and cruel in that movie! But boy did she play that part!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved reading those quotes! She always said it like she felt it....never thought about holding her tongue, I'm sure!
