So, I have to admit something -I LOVE my pyrex containers!! So much better than plastic containers, they go from oven, to table, to microwave -they look great and are easy to clean and don't stain like plastic. You can eat out of them and cook in them and carry leftovers to work in them.
OK -now that I have that off my chest -next week we return to the normal 'pretty' :-)
Functionality doesn't necessarily prohibit beauty, rock on with your pyrex.
ReplyDeleteI'm not alone in this world then!
ReplyDeleteBut you gotta be careful of the sudden change in temperature from the fridge straight to the oven because a myriad piece of a pyrex maketh.
I am a pyrex junkie too! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI like Pyrex, too. However, I'd like a different color for the lids. I've been trying to find glass containers that are square. There are some vintage-style ones around - Amazon or Container Store - I don't recall. Then, there are the Weck containers. See what you've started?
ReplyDeleteOver the weekend, a dear friend delivered a lovely salad in the same dish, pyrex and she has great style and taste! I am going to get a whole set for my home! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThey're great, PVE -chic and simple but so convienent (and inexpensive!)
ReplyDeleteI have some of the old ones with the glass tops that were stackable. I think that they're from the 60s.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has some of those, PD -i like these tops though because they can be carried around (upside down) and the tops won't come off -like tupperware!
