Ciao Bella!

I came across this gelato from Martha Stewart Living -she mentioned the company and in particular their blood orange gelato ( yummy! ). I've become a fan of this brand and have about 3 different tubs in my fridge now with my 3 favorite flavors - hazlenut ( my FAVORITE i've had from any brand!), blackberry cabernet ( really delicious) and of course chocolate. I like that they use all natural ingredients, have delicious but unusual flavors and the packaging is really pretty (i'll admit that is part of the draw! call me a snob!). Definitely check this out next time you are at the supermarket for a special treat, you won't regret it! I recommend any of the flavors listed above -if you try any others let me know what you think!

  3. I've found that great packaging usually means a great product - it's not snobby at all. Lately, I've been on a peaches and ice cream binge. A fresh, ripe peach sliced on top of vanilla ice cream: yum! Ciao Bella sounds good too.

  5. We had dinner at a new restaurant last night. All local and organic, dessert came and I thought of this post. The chocolate cake (which was delicious) was accompanied by a scoop of house-made mint ice cream with coco nibs. The difference between "mint flavor" and actual mint grown somewhere not far from the kitchen is amazing.

  11. they have a cute little shop--very likely their first, cause it's been there for at least eight years that I know of--on Mott St. in NoLiTa. Suuuuuuper cute. Glad to see they're getting a pretty wide distribution!
