I just have the plate part exactly like this
But the BASE is where it's at! it's intensely intricate -I could see it as a centerpiece on a very modern Saarinen tulip table -the one with the walnut wood top. The contrast would be striking there, or perhaps just the classic white; I can't decide.... can you see it or am I off?
The shape is really pretty, but that turquoise color really makes it beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the turquoise color! I can see it with a mound of red candies on it....red and turquoise!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shade of blue. What is it called? Bleu Pompadour or something along those lines? I must find out.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't know the official name for it, AAL. It really is a striking turquoise though!
ReplyDeletePerhaps bleu celeste ... will keep looking for it ... wonderful colour ... I would love to see panelling glazed that very shade ...
ReplyDeleteOh - now perhaps your luck will bring a Cartier watch to you that you could display on that pedestal!
ReplyDeleteStunning find!
Served tea to a friend in the tea cups, (from you) she wants them, do you have any more, to buy?
That would be a happy birthday, indeed, PVE! But the ship won't dock for a few more years yet I think! Glad you got to enjoy the cups!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I too think it's all about the turquoise.
