His murals for everyone from Mona Bismarck to the Joshua Cosdens in Palm Beach to Philip Sassoon were some of the most extraordinary special-effects of the 1920s and 1930s. Someone really should publish a book about his work.An Aesthete's Lamenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09620941811191294750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28651976363618994.post-24974434353339019862008-05-27T18:48:00.000-04:002008-05-27T18:48:00.000-04:00The oil Paintings reminds me of Art Deco or Impres...The oil Paintings reminds me of Art Deco or Impressionist paintings I have seen at my late grandparents house or museums. I always love them! I think Impressionist ones are classic preceeding the realism ones. With realism paintings, they can foretell which era. With Impressionists, its hard to tell except on the frames or canvas. I usually step back to see the colors to unity or solify. I love to check out the direction of paint brushes. My mom had worked at an museum and its curator became a family friend.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11383111452421425777noreply@blogger.com
