Heathcote interiors

You may remember earlier this year when I posted on a Lutyen's designed house, Heathcote, which was up for sale. A kind reader just sent me a new link to the realtor's website which has some new shots, including 2 interior photographs. The interiors, while obviously changed in order to accomodate the demands of an office, look mostly untouched, which warmed this architect's heart. See the full listing HERE. Enjoy!

I could not open the link to the site, but I will try again another time. Heathcote is one of my favorites, although I love all of the Lutyens houses. At one time, there was an effort to get permission to allow the development of apartments, but I don't think it has been/will be granted.

Only a few extra photos from angles I hadn't seen before and the 2 interior photos I included in the post. I'm surprised at the low price but houses like these are expensive to run and the demand is small I'm sure.

It did make me blanch to see the horrid cut-outs on the floor... better that than the marble I guess. Here's hoping the house finds a good match for a new owner... willing to put some time and money (and taste) into rehab!

What a great house! One can only hope that the new owners take good care of it.
