Artful fencing

Not the sport but rather this amazing ironwork fence I came across the other day in Georgetown. Who says artistry such as this is dead, the leaves look practically real!

It is handsomely wrought, indeed!

I go gaga for ironworks. Having spent so much time in historic coastal south I love it, makes my heart sing.

Hi, Stefan - This fine wrought iron looks like the art of Samuel Yellin, who worked in the first half of the 20th century and was undoubtedly the finest iron worker of his day.

Wrought iron can be incredible in any function. Take the work of Albert Paley. Wow. Amazing. Good find. ~best
