Traditions

How do you unwind? Any traditions? I like to spend my Saturday mornings catching up on emails, blogs and magazines with a pot of tea and some great toast with marmalade or some sort of jam. I look forward to this every week like you wouldn't believe! I hope you're doing something today that you enjoy just as well! Happy Weekend!

Life has been so busy that traditions are out the window. The family tries to make church most Sundays but with Little league starting it will be tough. We have our holiday traditions though. Does The Daily Show count?

Looks very nice your little corner on the photo! I take a coffee and, unlike the rest of the week, I take the time to wake up very slowly on Saturdays, verrrrry slowly.

my most recent Saturday ritual consist of a morning workout at Baker Beach, followed by brunch (and on some Saturdays lunch, and dinner) with some of the best folks I know . . . my bootcamp friends.

and the rest of my Saturday is focused on my house, reading the newspaper, dealing with any various chores, and getting everything ready before the week begins . . . that way, I can enjoy my Sunday completely.

This morning I am off to "cardio" tennis, my daughter's soccer game and grilling out since it will be a warm day. I am up early getting a little blog time first! (with a mug of freshly brewed coffee)
Enjoy your tradition!

sunday mornings...
watching cookery programmes while sifting through papers and magazines with a nice breakfast and pot of kenyan coffee...usually sat crosslegged or sprawled in some format on the floor of the living room...then off for a nice walk along the grand canal to feed the swans and ducks...

I'm working all weekend. I like to unwind pretty much the same way, catching up on blogs. Also browsing ebay and etsy are fun and relaxing for me.

Have a great weekend!

Kwana, I love the daily show -that definitely counts!

CT, i'm a slow morning person myself! I don't even get to my tea and toast for at least an hour generally LOL.

Scot, you win the award for most energetic and athletic blogger! wow!

Patricia, you win runner up! I don't know how you do it all!

Custard, your morning sounds wonderful! I want to come feed the ducks (but not the swans, they're MEAN -I have had bad experiences with swans in stockholm!).

YSL, I love ebay and etsy too -but DANGEROUS pasttimes! lol

Renee, If I only had a garden I would be doing the same! However, it's probably best I don't with my black thumbs! argh! I can't even keep houseplants alive!

Sunday mornings: always reading the newspaper ... slowly ... with masses of strong coffee paled with hot milk, served in a bowl rather than a cup ... listening to NPR ... and doing pretty much nothing else until approximately noon ...

Noon is my cutoff point generally too, AL -any further and I feel like such a slacker! Today: spring cleaning!!

Sundays are meeting a good friend, heading to the farmers' market, then to breakfast and then to BOOK THING!!! Market opens back up in two weeks! We can't wait.

Winter Sundays are pretty much the same way as AL's are. Lots of NPR in there!

My saturdays are very similar. I also read the papers and relax a bit.

I garden and listen to music, but not at the same time.

Saturday mornings every week I go to the farmers market, and Sunday mornings I take my time and read the New York Times front to back.

Ya, that sounds good to me. Saturdays I sleep in, but Sundays I have a date with Charles Osgood and a cup of coffee with International Delight vinilla.

Those chairs are great...it's really all about the atmosphere isn't it?

Ciao, Michelle
