No one does style like the British and this photo essay from British GQ proves it. Not only is the photography beautiful, so are the clothes and the locations! Enjoy this saturday fun post :-)

The same holds true for British Vogue, in my opinion. Far superior to the American version!

I wonder why that is, PTE! I'll have to check out the british vogue when I'm at B&N next!

Yesterday, while waiting for my son at PT, I stopped in to a little cafe and had a cup of fresh soup rather than a coffee and a man entered the shop wanting to order some things for the Jewish Holiday and as he left, he was frantically looking for his keys, The french shopkeeper said - "Are you in love?" He replied, no -"just overworked- and with that she said, "Well- there is the problem." He said, I would be in love if I lived in Europe. There is the difference, they still rest on Sunday, languish at cafes and take months for vacation and fall in love. Perhaps that explains the difference. These photos show that appreciation for love. What handsome lads, oh, I mean photos.

First things first, he gents are very dashing, of course, but I'm really ogling the folly on the mound in that first picture! Any idea where this was shot? What a beautiful setting.

Pve, I agree about the more relaxed attitude to life -that shows in these very elegant 'languishing' photographs. The cute models don't hurt ;-)

GD I don't know what country estate in england that folly is from. There is a book out called 'european follies' that i've had on my amazon wish list for awhile -the information is probably there. Check your local library for the book!
Renee, I'm glad you like the photos too! While I'm perhaps a city boy at heart, these mystical country house photos really make me want to live out in the middle of nowhere!
