baths

I think bathrooms are the most fun room to work on in a house. I'm currently working on a house's baths and it's just been so much fun. We're using the tub shown above (this one from house and garden) in the master bathroom with beautiful tumbled stone and working on some really fun tile patterns (multicolored penny rounds) in the children's bathrooms. Fun makes the day fly by! Have a great weekend everyone!

Bathrooms are fun, I think they are like a jewel box, things to ooh and awe over, tile, stone, fixtures, plumbing, all adding up to a multitude of textures and
finishes to provide a polished room for luxuriating!

I'm not usually a fan of tubs because I don't think they get used often enough to justify the space or expense. That said, if I were building the dream bath I'd install this one in a heartbeat. The shape and color remind me of antique white ironstone soap dishes.

I agree with you David, I wouldn't put one in my own home. However, I know a few women who take a bath daily. My condo actually was a last minute purchase; After a friend didn't buy it because it didn't have a bathtub!

Baths truly are the funnest to design. And take way more creativity than some other areas. I like the tub shown but agree...if you are not a 'tub" person..opt for the killer shower. Nice blog! Cheryl

That is a lovely tub. The fixture is very similar to what we put on our clawfoot tub in the master bath. I love tubs.

Oh boy, I'd love to have a bath in that tub, under the stained glass, with plenty of Jo Malone Jasmine & Honeysuckle Bath Oil!
